Delicious things are transported here. I'll tell you what they are when I solve the puzzle.
But we need to know who made the base, what type it was and when and by whom the body was made.
-
Up to Experts.
-
Is this another Krupp Schaperjahn truck?
-
No.
-
Deutz?
-
No.
-
Magirus?
-
No.
-
Henschel?
-
Yes
-
HS 140 bodied by Kässbohrer?
-
No
-
Harmening?
-
Neither HS 140 nor Harmening
-
Gaubschat body?
-
HS 190?
-
Yes, it is a HS 190. Locked for you to name the coachbuilder.
-
Is this the HS 190 that was originally a bus? I'm finding only the one Kässbohrer bus and the three ESSO articulated tankers.
-
There were the three Esso tractor units (HS 190 S) and eight chassis (HS 190). These were fitted with bus bodies and at least one truck body. I know of four different body manufacturers.
-
FAKA?
-
No
-
Drauz?
-
Not Drauz!
I found a mention on a very credible site of:
"a vehicle with a box body for Brandt-Zwieback was body-built by Kässbohrer on an HS 190 N chassis". (Sorry, machine translation.)
Is that this one?
-
Yes, it's a truck for "Brandt-Zwieback". But the body is not from Kässbohrer, although it looks very similar to the Kässbohrer bus.
-
Lampferhoff?
-
No.
-
E.H. von Lienen? The only four I have found are Kässbohrer, FAKA, Lamperhoff, and Lienen.
-
Sorry, but there is one more.
-
Could it be the relatively near-to-Brandt-in-Hagen company of Ludewig in Essen, who later built bus bodies on Henschel chassis? (There are a few more coachbuilders in this region, am I getting close?)
-
It's not Ludewig, but you're close. North Rhine-Westphalia is the right region.
-
Fahrzeuge Recklinghausen?
-
No,go east for about 40 kilometres.
-
Bönen? Or Hamm?
-
Neither nor.
-
Kamen or Bergkamen?
-
Approx. 10 kilometres to the north
-
Werne?
-
Yes, then I'll lock so you can look for the coachbuilder.
-
Spermann?
-
Yes, you will get the point later, I go to bed.
-
Sleep well! That was hard!
-
Hey marmer, here is your point! You've really earned it! :applause:
There are not many sources that depict this particular version. There were only eleven examples in total: eight bus chassis (on one of which the "Brandt truck" was built) and three tractor units. The two coupled, transversely mounted 95 hp engines could probably not be reliably synchronised. I attach a picture with a view of the left engine.
-
Is it the same as the BÜcherbus from Gladbeck ?
-
Thank you for this picture, I didn't know him yet. But that is Kässbohrer and not Spermann. The shape is very similar to the Kässbhrer Bimot (I'll add a picture), but it lacks the maintenance flaps on the sides and there's one too many stars on the bonnet...My guess is Mercedes O/OP between 3500 and 6600. Judging by the tyre size, more likely 5000 or 6600, but that's a bit like reading in a crystal ball.
