Well, it doesn't look quite finished yet...
What is it going to be? Manufacturer, type designation and year of manufacture are required.
-
An opportunity for experts.
-
Up to the Prof's.
-
Tempo ?
-
Yes, it is a tempo. Locked for more details and a year.
-
1936 E400 ?
-
You are ahead of your time. I don't have an exact type designation.
-
Do you mean "Standard 3-wheeler delivery van" ?
-
Strictly speaking, it has no type designation at all...
-
Hochlader Pritsche ? (I'm not sure what you are looking for)
-
Hmm, I'm looking at the time between the moment the first idea for a new vehicle is conceived and the moment when the last one rolls off the production line. The puzzle photo was taken somewhere in between.
-
Test chassis ?
-
That comes pretty close to the truth. There is a very typical term for something like this...
Btw: Reply #6 is probably misleading. The vehicle does of course have a type designation. But there are several variants, e.g. ‘Miller 1’, ‘Miller 2’ or ‘Miller 3’ and I don't know which ‘Miller’ is pictured.
-
Mule ?
-
I'm sorry, but what do you mean by Mule?
-
In the UK it's a term used for an initial prototype built for testing engine and chassis. A sort of factory test-bed for the intended production components.
-
Thank you, AP makes you smarter! That's exactly what it is. The only question is when this ‘Mule’ was built and which series it became.
-
1938 A400 ?
-
No, older and simpler.
-
1929 T6 ?
-
No, later. The T6 had the load area in front of the driver.
-
1933 Front 6 ?
-
Yes, it is the prototype of a Tempo Front from 1933. I don't know whether it is a Font 6, Front 7 or Front 9. So that's your point.
-
The same prototype with a bit more coachwork:
