Is it an internal exhibit, posibly kind of truck/auto show? Is the round advert for Bayer?

Yes, the picture was taken on a major vehicle exhibition, and yes, this truck was made for Bayer.
What was its purpose and who was (probably) the coachbuilder? (That's all I know at least.)

I found some details in German, it was presented at the 1930's "International Automobile and Motorbike show" at the "Kaizersdam" (Berlin, I suppose). It is a "Big blue bus" with inside a colour movie theatre. I belief there is a Agfa connection. The bus should do some "Culture propagande" and advertising for German products in "external" countries.
The coach builder is Miesen.

Yes, that's about all I know of it, too. At the Kaiserdamm in Berlin you could find the exposition halls for the IAA.

I'll post the original picture tonight. Any additional information (base truck etc.) is welcome.
