This is the wreck of an Auto Union Type C. Ernst von Delius competed with it in the 1937 German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. There was a collision when he tried to overtake Dick Seaman's Mercedes W125. Seaman was slightly injured and von Delius had to be taken to hospital in Bonn, where he died the next day.
