Chrysler 180 limousine with Spanish body conversion by Carrocerías Pinedo Villamil from Mejorada del Campo. Mejorada del Campo is a municipality located in the autonomous community of Madrid. Sometimes this coachbuilder is referred to as Carrocerías PV. The general director was Francisco Villamil.

The search string "Chrysler 180 limousine" brought me to the puzzle image, however that is entered on a social media platform to which I don't have access and I don't wish to get access. The palm trees behind the car would justify the Spanish location for the body conversion. I can find only 3 period images of this vehicle. The puzzle image and a photo showing a 3/4 rear view (see enclosed) and one showing the conversion in process. The source of the second photo states that this 7-seat vehicle was built in 1976. Main Spanish media coverage in magazines was made in 1977 however. The Chrysler 180 was assembled from early 1975 onwards at the the Chrysler Barreiros plant in Villaverde Spain instead of its prior production location in France. One white limousine vehicle seems to be surviving.

Period photos of Carrocerias PV. First photo shows a black vehicle during the conversion process. The second photo shows another (or the same) black vehicle in the left line at the front and in the middle of the left line there seems to be a light coloured vehicle in progress. This same company also converted 180's into estate (called "break" and "familiar") and ambulance vehicles.

You are absolutely right, and thank you very much for your detailed description.
The point and the postponement can only happen at the beginning of next week, as I am busy.

I'm sorry, but I replied hastily while on the road. At home, I realised from my sources that there were at least two manufacturers in Spain who converted Chrysler 180s. Unfortunately, your solution is the other one... The distance from Madrid to the coachbuilder I'm looking for is more than 400 km.

I currently can only find another one in Madrid, namely coahbuilder Bargon (Bartolom Gonz). This company existed from 1950 tot 1980 and elongated the Chrysler 180 into limousines and ambulances as well. Unbelievable that for such a small market of 180 limousines then 3 coachbuilders took on that work. Anyway continue looking. During the fun search so far I found at least 2 surviving vehicles.

Drive southeast from Madrid. You can also find what you're looking for on the internet.

Finally found it! Talleres Liberato from the city of Allicante. Pretty remarkable that 3 (or even more) coachbuilders made a stretched version of the Chrysler 180. It was fun to search, thx for the puzzle.

Very good. It's fun to awaken the spirit of discovery in the colleagues.
