Buffum flat-8, 1904, It had four coupled flat 2-cylinder engines.

Nearly there!  My source has "Buffum Something".  The rest is correct.

Yes Hermanoto that is correct.
My source describes the car as "The Buffum Greyhound racer, made in Abingdon, Massachusetts in 1904. The power unit consisted of four, two cylinder engines bolted together, with four carburettors and four water pumps.
