I didn't say, that the car didn't race in local FJ championships. It didn't race in the DDR-Meisterschaft! ;)

Sorry, I did forget to answer: No, the photo hasn't been taken at a hillclimb

I assumed this car was East German, but of course the Wartburg engine was used elsewhere. Was this car built by someone who later built RAK cars ?
