Yes, FNM (Fábrica Nacional de Motores) D-11.000, Brasil

LOCKED for you to find coachbuilder and year

Alfa_Japan

The year is 1960, as for the coachbuilder I don't know, all of the photo's I find of these fleet vehicles shows minor differences which makes one wonder whether they were all built by the same coachbuilder. The blue vehicle seems to state  a name similar to "vanMeulen" in the dark coloured elipsoid area below the windscreen.

fromwien

1960 is correct
Two of all your photos show the puzzle car. I'll let the puzzle LOCKED for you to find the coachbuilder

Alfa_Japan

I'm very curious to understand at the closure of this puzzle how you can be certain about the coachbuilder. Several coachbuilders made buses on FNM chassis. The most common ones were FNM dealer A. Veloz who also built bodies and coachbuilders Massari and Grassi. I can find a reference to lesser known coachbuilder Vieira so I'll go for that.

This particular example has a body by Companhia Americana Industrial de Onibus (CAIO). The company abbreviation is visible on the left side of the cabin. The CAIO company was established in 1946 and is still active in the bus coachbuilding business today. These days it is known as CAIO Induscar.

Hopefully there are no more variations than these two coachbuilders (Vieira & CAIO)?

Absolutely correct! One more well earned point for you! Congratulation

Thank you "fromwien". Truly wonderful design bus if you ask me.

@pguillem, the top photo of your lovely images in the closure post is not the puzzle vehicle
1. Very different roof geometry
2. Different front also missing the CAIO logo
3. Ribbed material on the front and sides, whereas the initial puzzle photo has smooth surfaces.

Yes, the first bus looks different. However it's also a FNM-Caio Bossa Nova D-11.000, maybe from another year, but the photo was taken un 1960.
