No one has asked the question yet, but this car wasn't built by a company. I'm not aware of any other cars by this individual.

Did the builder give it a name?
I have three sources for this car, one of which seems to give it a nickname of their own. But I'm unaware of any official name given by the builder.

It was built on a modified donor chassis. The design was inspired by another car.

No, but I understand why you would ask this. I doubt any of the body components from the donor chassis were used, as this car looks nothing at all like the donor. I don't know if the body was composed of parts salvaged from other cars or made from scratch.
Built in the 50's?
Dale Shackleton of Las Vegas, Nevada, restored this one-off, handmade '53 Cadillac convertible. We'll let him tell the story: "It was built back in the '50s by a man for his son. The car was then in a garage for more than 30 years. I bought it two years ago and restored it. The engine and frame are from an early '3Ds Austin. The body is all steel, and it has working headlights, taillights, and horn, as well as gauges." And, in case you were wondering, "It's not street legal. "
