For the solution, state the make and model of the truck.

Well done! That's not exactly a well-known manufacturer... I'll lock this for you so you can find the model.

Indeed, in my collection of 4149 photos of German vehicles, I only have 3 Podeus!

I'd say 35L?

In fact, it is a 35 hp version. The only question is how many tonnes of load it could carry; that was part of the model designation. It is, of course, still locked.

Fun fact: as a young man my father was a tillerman on an aerial ladder fire truck.  Apparently there's quite an art to it; you have to steer and then countersteer quickly when going around corners.

It gets really interesting when the power steering works via a 'muscle servo'.

 You must have been top of the class in basic maths.
That's right, it's a Podeus 35 L6 (meaning 35 hp and a 6-tonne payload – I've no idea what the 'L' stands for)!   So I've no choice but to deduct a point from you.
Attached you'll find a peek under the bonnet, or rather under the bodywork, of the 35 L6.
There's a fascinating video on YouTube about the history of Podeus, though unfortunately it's only in German :-), produced by Wismar TV: "Wismarer Fahrzeugbauer Podeus - Industriegeschichte mit weltweiter Ausstrahlung" (Wismar-based vehicle manufacturer Podeus – industrial history with global appeal"
