All of this seems very ambiguous to me. Open it up to everyone, otherwise we'll never get anywhere.

The task asks about the vehicle shown in the picture and what it is likely to become. In reply #6, I told you that the vehicle went from being a prototype to a production model. In #16, you had already described the production model quite accurately, albeit with a few minor discrepancies. In #17, I clarify that the puzzle vehicle is a prototype built a year before production began. In #19, I clarify once again that the vehicle in question is a prototype and that the question is about its production date. Once that was clarified, the only remaining questions were about the production model. I narrowed that down to the production period and the two engine variants. Hopefully, all ambiguities have now been cleared up? I'll keep the task locked for now.

You've described the production version quite accurately, but the puzzle picture shows the prototype.
We still don't know when it was built. I'll lock this thread again.
Btw, the designation L 500 isn't an official factory designation. Internally, it was known as Type 31, and the sales name was "Schnell-Lieferwagen". (See photos)

Right, let's get this straight. The prototype in question was built in 1933 (first photo); you'd already mentioned the year. I'd missed that – my apologies.
The first series with a 400cc engine came out in 1934 (second photo) and the second series with a 500cc engine in 1935 (third photo). Production ceased at the end of 1935; the space was probably needed for the rapidly expanding motorcycle production. Around 600 units were produced.
