You need to a find race who became more known after the 2nd WW and who appeared on AP before. His family has been mentioned in the Röhr history.

sometimes - in the pre-war era. In fact he brought the puzzle car to a race, but instead he raced a BMW special there :)! In the post-war era he raced with other sports cars

This looks like what I wanted to post as a new puzzle.

According to a photo I made just the last weekend in the nice and interesting Museum of Ober-Ramstadt,
this is a Röhr Junior race car built by (Kurt?) Delfosse.

The text underneith the photo in the museum told that this car has been built by using only spare parts:

The Gesellschaft für die Verwertung von Industrieanlagen bought the Röhr factory in November, 1935, following the Röhr bancruptcy. But the sale was annulled in May, 1936, by a Darmstadt court.
