By a well-known kit-car designer/builder?
Not to the best of my knowledge.
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

A prototype by a company which also made other models?

Not that I know of.
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Arunas

A one-off by an individual person not involved in any company?

AFAIK this was planned to be sold commercially by a company.

BarbaricAvatar

Is it something related to the Lotus Eclat/Elite? A few similar design clues, though that rear wing is totally off.

No Lotus connection to my knowledge.

Was it built (or maybe only designed) between 1980 and 1985 ?

It was planned for 1980 onwards.

Djetset will be very busy with the Goodwood Festival of Speed organising.
I'm sure he'll be back soon once everything is in place.
I've been waiting for at least one reply for 2/3 weeks now...

Thanks Norman.
I admit I'm not the one who should blame him for that...

Sorry, but as Carnut mentioned, I have recently been out of action due to work pressures in the run-up to this year's  Goodwood Festival of Speed, plus a death in the family.

So, after almost three weeks I am now back in action, and can confirm that this car is NOT Nick Topping's NJT Gullwing coupe!

Any hint perhaps?
A hint hey!  Hmmm, all I can think of for now is that I don't believe that an actual 'real' version of this car was ever built.  My image is taken from the cover of the leafler for this car. Not sure this wil help, but...
