Sleek and low.

For one point, please respond and identify this car.

German and based on a 1930 BMW Dixi?

Wendax

It is a German one-off. I only know which engine was used at the time the photo was taken. That was not a BMW / Dixi one. The wheelbase looks too big for a Dixi to me.

Looks like a DKW radiator shell.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Wendax

Well, that's because this is a very hard puzzle. I don't think you will find anything on the internet about it.

pnegyesi

anything to do with Fritz Ostwald?

Wendax

Good guess, but I don't know of any Ostwald connection.

Was this featured in a German classic car magazine?

Wendax

pnegyesi

Was this featured recently (within the last 2 years?)

Wendax

pnegyesi

Within the last 5 years?

Wendax

No, I think it was an older magazine

pnegyesi

If it's really old, then I probably have it - I have both Oldtimer Markt and Motor Klassik from the mid-1980s :) But I assume this was published in the 1990s

Wendax

It must be from the 1990s or early 2000s.

pnegyesi

does this magazine focus on the market or on the classics :)?

Wendax

It is from one of the two you mentioned.
