A Hanomag prototype?
« on: June 08, 2025, 10:07:49 AM »
This is part of a picture from a former  puzzle (https://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/2017-47/wendax-2131/). The car accompanied a 1939 Hanomag Sturm racing coupe. Is it an unknown Hanomag prototype or something completely different?

According to Dieter Görg, Hanomag IG it is a Hanomag Autobahn 1.3-litre body by Ambi Budd. To me the front looks different, but that's what he said

I'm sure he's wrong. For comparison a Hanomag 1,3 Liter from a similar angle. The unknown car has another radiator grille, other wings, wiper fixed above the windscreen. It also appears larger and wider to me. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a four-door sedan.

My guess (without any proof) would be a prototype for a Hanomag Sturm successor in the style of the 1,3 Liter.
