I know where the pictures were taken, how the technical lay-out of the car looks like and I also know the engine brand that powers the car.
+ I have a surname of the person who presumably built it.
I'm in search for more information so:
1 point up for grabs for the person who can tell me more about this monoposto (at least the correct and complete name of the car + preferably the date when it was made, where it raced,...)
+ an additional point to earn when you can come up with period pics of the car.
I'll add soon the information I have about this car if no progress is made in identifying this car

In any case, the pictures were not taken in Canada and the the person who presumably built it has no connection with Canada.
Herewith all information I have about this car. I hope it will help identifying this mystery for me:
- The pictures were taken in Venezuela
- It was presumably built (in venezuala?) by an Italian immigrant with as last name Patenna.
- The builder allegedly worked at Alfa Romeo in Portello before he emigrated (to Venezuela?).
- The car is probably built in the fifties and is apparently equipped with an (enlarged) Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1500 cc engine.

Does it look similar enough? I think I may be on a trail with the hints you've posted, but will have to check in the evening. So far I can just tell you it's an Alfa Romeo engined car, currently under restoration, this shot from cca 1969.
Although the car shares a lot of similarities, I first was not convinced that it is one and the same car (the nose cone edge is different). But after some reseach (I used Google Image search, but because it's my own puzzle, I think I'm allowed to do so) I'm convinced that it is indeed one and the same car. So you definitely score points here!!
So it seems the builder(s) were not named Patenna, as my source said, but (Nerio) Potena (and his brother). The car was built in Ziruma, Maracaibo, Venezuela.
But when was it built (year), and what engine capacity was used when the car was new (the 2000 cc the car is currently equipped with?)
I'm currently further investigate this car but other contribbutions are still more than welcome!

The garage that restores this car is on Facebook, so that might be the way to find out more :)
I found this car by accident whilst looking for something else - I cannot answer the remaining questions, but the site where the car is pictured shows 3 dials on the dash which seem to be those from a late '50s Giulietta. Here's a photo of the dash from a '57 spider. I reckon the original engine may well have been a 1570cc engine from just such a car.
I'm having a bad AP day - I've just noticed that the original site does say that the instruments may not be original. These are what it is now fitted with.

A friend of mine is offering my for sale, but I do not know anything of this car, neither the owner. would you help me with this????
I have seen these photos before somewhere, but I can't remember where, and I can't find them again on a Google search. In my fading memory, I think this was built somewhere in South America from a production Alfa Romeo of some sort, possibly a 1900 SS, or maybe even a 1600 Giulietta.
Is there an engine fitted? If it's an Alfa, I suggest a specialist website like Alfa Romeo Bulletin Board (I'm not supposed to use links!) - in fact that's where I may have seen it.
According to his nephew, Nelio Potena hand built this car from the original Alfa pictures.
