Does anyone recognize these cars and who built them?

Looks like that MG Special made in New Zealand; or was it a Ford?
I'll have to see if I can find it...

I believe the pictures were taken in a bodyshop on the American east coast but I don't know if the MG special was constructed there (it appears to be only car that is complete in the pictures so perhaps not). I have a couple of more pictures of the same place should it be of interest.

Ah, I thought you were thinking of the MG T-type in the background. I can certainly see the similarities, but I suspect both cars were inspired by the Jaguar C-type and that's where the grille shape (which is the biggest similarity between the two) comes from.

Here is a closer look at the last car in the pictures. I would think it should be possible to at least identify one of these cars.

That's the Lea Francis built by Joe Gertler in New York in the early 1950s. I don't recognise any of the other cars but it is probably Gertler's shopin Long Island

Edit: The wild MG TC in the background is one of Gertler's too

I forgot to update the request, but I actually manage to find it out on my own (along with some forumers on another forum) a while back and it is now categorized correctly on the site where I had initially intended to put it on.  :)

I have not been able to identify which chassis this car was built on though and I received no answer on my e-mail to the creator of the Joe Geetler history page.
