I think this car was named the Unit Car?

kwgibbs

was it NEWEST micro-car?

the source I found has the heading as MOTOR behind at NEWEST micro-car,it mentions a four engine, that,s air-cooled,with 16 horsepower.the motor was actually mounted directly in front of the rear axle.it was to be produced in large quantities, nice looking little car.

Kytsyk

Please excuse me, I was wrong. This car really named as "unit car", but I doubt that it was a brand name. Can you name of the manufacturer?
Locked for you.

kwgibbs

no problem, whats weird is it doesn,t actually give a manufacturer, but mentions that its an American one but was featured in a popular magazine. I know it doesn,t help very much.

Are we looking for a 'regular' maker or a one off? I mean is it listed as a car maker in any book?

To be honest, I do not have accurate information. Apparently, it was a one-off.

I found the same article in a magazine. No names and few info. Just to be sure: you have a different source than a Popular Magazine, and there's written who made it right? Is it named after its builder?

Kytsyk

Unfortunately, I do not have another source...
To be honest, I just wanted to identify this car, and I thought that anyone here has the information about it. I did something wrong?

I found alittle more info  about this car,its name seems to be The Tiny Car,and its from the same source as before.

MOTOR IN REAR OF NEWEST MIDGET AUTOMOBILE
Several departures from current practice feature a little automobile recently constructed by an American manufacturer, and soon, it is hoped, to be, produced in quantity. It is called a "unit car," first of all, because the power plant is mounted as a unit just above and forward of the rear axle. Universal joints and other complexities of transmission are made unnecessary by this arrangement. The motor is of four-cylinder, air-cooled type, and develops 16 hp. The space beneath the hood, ordinarily occupied by the engine, is given over to the gasoline tank, to luggage compartment, and in the rear, to leg room for the occupants. The four wheels, of airplane type, are each surmounted by an individual mudguard, which, in front, turns with the wheel.
On the front fenders, too, are fixed the headlights, which are thus enabled to illuminate curves in the road.
The car is operated in the usual way.
The Motor of This Newest Midget Automobile is Mounted Immediately in Front of the Rear Axle. Beneath the Hood, in Front. Are the Gasoline Tank and a Luggage Compartment pants.
