The La Chartre-sur-le-Loir mystery car

The folks on another well-known forum are having trouble identifying this car from an old period photo. The setting is the town square at La Chartre-sur-Lois, and this image is an enlarged section of the photo. Personally I think it's a handbuilt Panhard-based special - does anyone know more?

I thought it might help if you could all see the original photo, which also gives a sense of proportional size. Come on AP members - our reputation is at stake. The other forum seem to think it will only be a short time before they get an answer from us.

Looks a bit like a DB-Panhard with an elongated front and back, though  not quite an identical cabin..

I tried several times to upload those pics in that reply and once I did it I got the text wrong!
I found some pics in Bellù's book and those Panhards remind me of the mistery car...I took a look at some Simca too but so far no matches.
