Perusing the local paper on Sunday, March 1, I discovered an article about a guy who collects vintage things. I'd certainly enjoy seeing some of his collection:

Anyone in your home town have a similar interesting collection?

At one time, my model railroad empire was quite large. I had a lot more rolling stock than I could fit on my layout.
Then an evil witch made it go away. >:(

I collect auto sales brochures, nearly all after 1975, but from at least 50 countries. It is out of control! I have at least 30,000 of them. Now that I am retired I have started giving them away, even though I am still trading. Currently swapping with a fellow in Beijing and a kid in Korea.
If you are interested I have a bag full of them to give away, nothing special, but if you like I can give you the list.
I like brochures from the 60s/70s a lot, but the prices people call for those are insane in my opinion :(
Mine are from 90's and absolutely free.

SWEET!
Do you have any pics of what you have, by chance?
I have Monte Carlo brochures, 1970-1988, the only years the car was produced....

Sorry not to respond sooner, but have not been here for a while. I get new car stuff at showrooms and auto shows and swap with people overseas. I have rarely bought anything, but have spent thousands on postage over the years. The brochures I like most are the ones for really bad cars, poorly designed or constructed. Not so many of those anymore, but with my current partner in Beijing, I'm getting stuff on some relatively poor cars. The world's car factories produced a lot of dangerous machines over their history, but with all the legislation now, most every car drives relatively safely. Besides crappy cars, my collection consists mostly of cars that will never be seen in North America. Expensive and powerful cars just have no appeal to me. A Dacia pickup will get my attention.
Wow hugo ... that sounds AWESOME.
And, no worries ... I only get to each of my boards maybe once a month...lol.
Too bad you don't have any pics of them anywhere, sure seems like a collection worth seeing.

Knightfan is right. I'll send you a scanner if I have to; What would it take to get you to post stuff like that here?

I do have a lot scanned and posted on flickr.com It may require signing up for flickr to see them; it used to be that way. There is no charge to sign up.
