Two outstanding entries in this competition. Each entrant would like your vote on his handwork in meeting the T-shirt Challenge. (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=2868) Coincidentally, each has identified a car that started out as one thing, and either got or will soon receive a heart transplant to make it something more.

Arthur Dent has spent $8039 on a lovely example of a rag top sports car which was once the shape of things to come. Having the top lopped off was the best thing that ever happened to this car, in my opinion.

StephenM has taken a different approach - a mostly  restored shell of a legendary backroad stormer, to which he's committed hours of toil to make whole, with a very un-Germanic drive-train.

well, I´d like to see this Bimmer finished. Maybe you pick some early 1980´s F1-turbochargers on top as this strange german engineer did:

I have received a quite stylish t-shirt. Goofy photos with my ugly mug may follow. Or maybe I'll wash it in hot water 15 times and feature my wife instead. :)
