BBBs (Bitchin' Buick Burnouts) are among my many automotive guilty pleasures. A later Riviera with the supercharged 3800 makes for one hell of a sleeper... AND one hell of a one-wheel, axle-hoppin' front drive burnout.

LOL!!

Mine does two wheel fwd burnouts...  I got creative a few years back and fit a locker into the front end. :nana: :D

Good choice DeAutogids.
I had an Audi 80 quattro back in the 1980's.
It was one of the early 80 quattros with the 5-cyl non-turbo 2.2 litre engine, and I maintain to this day that at the time Audi had no idea how good a car they had produced.  It really was terrific.

Audi hardly made any (probably because they hardly sold any as at the time the whole quattro philosophy had not quite caught the public's imagination) and very quickly replaced it with two cars: the Audi 90 quattro at DOUBLE the price (if you wanted the 5-cyl 2.2) and the Audi 80 quattro, which was an underpowered 4-cyl piece of stodgy crap!

Not a big fan of the 80s, even though I got my license in '93, when these cars were everywhere!  I spent my high school years driving an '87 T-Bird 302, but I always liked the Turbo Coupe better...these days, if I had to choose just one 80s car, I would probably go for the Grand National.  It would be a tough choice over the Bird though...

The only thing I remember about Monte Carlos is driving my brother-in-law's (he lives in New Jersey) '70s model around eastern states back in about 1980.  I wondered with amazement at the time just how they managed to fit so little space into such an enormous car!  The interior seemed no bigger than a shoe box!

Also I remember the battery going flat and we had to push the car off the road;  boy-oh-boy what did they weigh?  It would have been easier to push the Queen Mary...!

Other than that it was great fun!  A PROPER American car with a huge V8!

Mmmh... Impossible to choose between these :
Alfa Romeo GTV6
BMW M 635 CSi
Citroën BX Sport
Honda CRX VTi
Lancia Delta Integrale 16v
Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9
Saab 900 Turbo 8
Tatra 613-2
One US car ? Difficult again... because most 80's american cars were, well, absolute rubbish ! I would say a ZR-1 Corvette, or perhaps a Grand National Riv'... I suppose a '89 supercharged T-Bird isn't too bad, is it ?
But anyway, I'm still very happy with my '84 Citroën CX GTI Turbo ! A truly bizarre yet hugely efficient spaceship cruiser.  8)

Shame on me, I meant a Gran National Regal !  ;D

I have many favorites, but for this thread I will choose the mazda GC-body 626 coupe:

And 5-door:

Those aren't mine, but I do own both a coupe and sedan version. They are very under-rated, enjoyable cars to drive.
