It was dealer stock left in a warehouse. The owner of the dealership died and his son inherited this collection. Quite a museum but instead they are being sold.
I couldn't find the thread you referenced. But a darned interesting site!
Its several pages down...
Appearently the dealership wasnt in Holland.
But in one of the pics a car is being loaded on what looks like a Trailer with a Dutch licence plate.

I hope pasting the link is OK.
If not, Mods, please delete.
I'd love to own a 500 again.
And/or a R4 like my mother had...
Links are fine anywhere on the forum except in the puzzles sections. We would really like to see forum activity outside the puzzles increase as well, FWIW.

Who can spot more cars like the ones they used to own?
I had a Austin 1100 2dr, a 500 Giardiniera, a Quatroposti, and a Fiat 127 as well...
( I know those arent exactly a Quatroposti and a Giardiniera, but they are close...)

My mistake.
I guess everybody is driving around with the same kind of yellow plates now, in Europe...
In Holland there are dashes betwen the groups of digits. Countries still can choose their own colors, but white and yellow with black are the most common. Even Belgium soon will say goodbey to the red on white plates.

Never heard of that story.
The story of all these Fiats is already 1 or 2 years old. If I remember it correct, it was in one of the scandinavian countries.
Belgium will switch to black on white and to the standard european size from juli 1st, 2010.
