#17.

Alfa Romeo 2500SS by Carrozzeria Sicca built in 1950.

First raced as a Roadster.

faksta

That's right, of course.

D-type

#4 Elva-Climax, probably a MK 3
Duncan Rollo

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

faksta

#4 is not an Elva and not Climax powered  :shakehead:

guido66

#7
#15 Hansruedi Portmann in a car provided by E. Hegglin from Meilen?

Edit: there were more people driving this. Now I've found it as a Sauber VW Hegglin, nicknamed Käseschnitte (slice of cheese)

I put the Lola in a edited post that I deleted earlier. ( doublepost...)

1# Healey SR Le Mans 1970

faksta

#1 is a Healey and 1970 Le Mans, but it's not an SR. Locked for you until your next reply regarding this car.
#18 is not a D.B., but you're not so far from the truth here.

woodinsight

My mistake re #17 - it's a Healey sports prototype officially called Healey Repco-Brabham XR37 that retired at the 1970 Le Mans 24 hours with ignition trouble after covering 264 laps.
#18 - Panhard?

faksta

#19
Healey XR37 it is.

#18 is not a Panhard, though. What I meant was that you guessed the country right.

woodinsight

#18 Rispal Barquette 1954

#4 - HWM-Jaguar Mk II of 1956. Chassis No: 52-106. (Second works car to carry the registration number "HWM 1")
This car made its debut in the 1956 Mille Miglia when it driven solo by John Heath, co-founder of HWM (Hersham & Walton Motors Ltd., Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, UK).
Sadly Heath crashed in pouring rain near the village of Glorie, the car spun into a ditch and overturned crushing the driver.
He succumbed two days later in hospital.
The car was not badly damaged and was rebuilt for the 1957 season. It survives today and is being campaigned in Historic Racing.

faksta

Quite an extensive and, what is more important, right answer. Well done!

#9 - Tatra T605 of 1956
