Today I've just put in or added to the clues (see reply 3) which may make it easier to solve them.

Yes it is but it had a specific name.
xx Special - very easy if you think about it.
I'll lock it for you until your next reply.

SACO

PL Special  ?

Not any of those.
Two letters reflecting the name of the base car.
I'll keep it locked for you but just for 24 hours.

JR Special ?
Not that.
One last chance for you - the car is based on a Xxxx Xxxxxxx - the two capital Xs will give you the answer.

#17: Zebra-Moutier 1973
Yes, it's a Zebra but I have a different year.
Built by M. Bernasconi & M. Fleury at Moutier for Jacques Boillat.
I'll lock it for you to come up with the correct year.

Wendax

I have 1972-73 as the date for this only Zebra built, so I go for 1972.

Date of build is often questionable for this type of car.
I have it as 1971 and I suspect the car was built that year prior to making its competition debut in 1972.
The point is yours whatever.

woodinsight

Two thirds complete now.
Ten points still up for grabs......
