What's this, by whom, from when and powered by what?

Google Search by Image continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Search by Image as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

I think it's the Ray-Ford Special from 1958 (AKA Ray Racing-Sports Special).

Seems to be a re-post though:

Is that a British road tax disc on the windscreen?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

The car is currently For Sale in Surrey!
Tax discs are a thing of the past of course so it must be an out-of-date one..

Bespoke chassis (I believe), British engine and other components.

Austin-Healey?
I'm pretty sure this was one of my old puzzles but needless to say I can't remember the answer!
I think I recall it was home-built in the US by a guy who might have been named Bill...

Got it!
It's the Ray-Ford Racing Special with a straight six 2.6 litre Ford Zephyr engine; built in 1958 by Peter Ray.

I thought it was one of my old puzzles; here it is:

The hyphen strikes again. My source has it as the "Rayford Sports Special" without the hyphen.

A point for you!
