This is a mystery car for me.

Two points are offered for this puzzle.

My source reports make and model for this car but not a coachbuilder. So one point is for this correct answer.

Another point goes for telling what famous person, according to my source, is related to this car.

Absolutely correct!

But was this car built for him or just named after him?

My source says "as a tribute to" - it doesn't mention that it was for him specifically.

Hard to see on this picture, but the 'Glenn' had a T-roof.
One year earlier, in 1961, an (almost) identical spider was made.
Was this the same car that was modified?
