What's the make and model designation of this car?

pguillem

Quiller

Yes - a glassfibre Indian prototype  :)

Dave, my mind is going.

I can feel it.

I can feel it.

My mind is going.

There is no question about it.

I can feel it.

I can feel it.

I can feel it

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do.

I'm half crazy all for the love of you.

It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage.

But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two.

I think you should start including footnotes in your posts, because it's been too often that I don't know what you're talking about :P
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Google HAL.

And if you don't find, google HAL 9000

If there is anyone who could tell something more about this car seriously, I am ready to listen.

Philistine....

I have it as a Hindustan related project for an Indian "Volkswagen".
4-door plastic-body; equipped with an 20HP air-cooled 2cyl. 2-stroke engine with 730cc;
236 cm wheelbase, 381 cm length overall.
Independent suspension on each wheel.

HAL = IBM..

"As is clearly stated in the novel (Chapter 16), HAL stands for Heuristically programmed ALgorithmic computer. However, about once a week some character spots the fact that HAL is one letter ahead of IBM, and promptly assumes that Stanley and I were taking a crack at the estimable institution ... As it happened, IBM had given us a good deal of help, so we were quite embarrassed by this, and would have changed the name had we spotted the coincidence." (Arthur C. Clarke, The Lost Worlds of 2001)

1960-1961
Hindustan Aircraft Ltd, Delhi.

Sometimes known as the Pingle or H.A.L.-Pingle after its designer Pingle Reddy who was a senior executive at the Hindustan Aricraft Co., this was a small but roomy 4-door saloon powered by a 700cc 2-cylinder 2-stroke engine driving the front wheels. It had a fiberglass body on a separate steel chassis, hydraulic brakes and torsion bar suspension on all four wheels. A price of 4600 rupees (about £345 at the prevailing rate of exchange) was fixed, but production never started.

Terribly seriously.

I can add that there were at least 2 different prototypes, differing in some details, such as the doors and the hood.

Crikey I knew AP was addictive but...
I nearly PM'd you to take out the answer but Googling HAL got me nowhere so I didn't bother!
