Here's another for you to guess...

vdp

Looks British and remotely Nuffieldesque...

guido66

Neither of these is true for this car.

guido66

Time for some expertise

João

That´s the Kamm K3 based on a Mercedes 170V chassis

guido66

You're right. Do you know by  which company it was built?

Locked for you for 24 hours

João

#6
Research Institute for Power Engineering and Vehicle Engines Stuttgart (FKFS), by Wunibald Kamm

guido66

Well, I have nothing more to add to that, except for a point towards you of course!  ;)

Looks like an Adler, probably a Type 10 from the late '30s.

The bodywork looks unusual, almost like a streamlined wagon; probably one-of-a-kind.

Carnut

Your second line is all-correct and close to the point, but I am afraid line 1 is not right!

In late summer of 1938, BMW tested a prototype of the so-called 'Kamm'-Coupe based their "328 chassis". It had a drag coefficient of only 0.25 compared to the great 1940 Mille Miglia winning BMW 328 Touring Coupe with drag coefficient 0.35.

Carnut

Yes, that's what it is.
1 point earned.

The identification is wrong! This is the Kamm K-3 from 1938/39, based on a Mercedes-Benz 170 V.
The car was built by Wendler for FKFS research institute.

I'll take your word for it as I'm sure you know your stuff with German cars especially!
I seem to recall picking this up off a BMW site though so I thought they would know what they were talking about..

I've seen the real car in 2009 at Prototyp museum in Hamburg.  :)
