For all this time I have known this car simply Vaillante and what does the AC3 should mean?

Here's the answer (in French)

In a nutshell, the car has been designed by a group named AC3. It has been made for a movie based upon the Michel Vaillant comics. So Vaillante is a virtual brand from that comic/movie. "Grand Defi" seems to be the title of the first Michel Vaillant comic book.

AC3 stood for Atelier de Creation et de Conception Composite. It was a company established in 1998 in Nice by three graduates from the Sbarro design school. Apart from the Vaillante Grand Defi I think they also made a buggy and Lotus 7 and Porsche 356 updated replicas. Lasttime I heard about them was 2002, so I guess the company doen't exist anymore. Their website also disppeared so that would support it.
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Does anyone know exact production numbers of this model?

Not from Denmark, despite the colours.

For one point, please respond and identify this car.

Vaillante Grand Défi, based on the Hommell Barquette.

You are right, and I just discovered that it is a repost. I had searched for Hommell, not for Vaillante. Nevertheless one point for you!
