Somebody was patient enough and dedicated 15 years of his life to develop a car encyclopedia with:
7000 car brands
70.000 car types
700.000 photos.

They just started uploading it here:
http://www.all-car-brands.com/

They are not many cars right now, but i saw an uploading pace of 50 to 100 cars daily.
All of them have photos, but not wallpaper size, most of them have a description, sometimes small, sometimes huge, and some of them videos.
The good thing is that every brand uploaded is complete with no missing models.

PS: I already saw some cars i didn't know about, some of them good for the puzzels. ;)

pnegyesi

Good for him (this is a project by a university student - according to his Facebook site). I am curious how it turns out.

I don't think this is possible at all... but it's indeed an interesting project!!

I think it will take quite a lot to have all the missing models...if it ever will be possible!
I'm working on a similar project too and I know it's an huge work!

jhonny.drift

Probably almost impossible ....
Anyway in my opinion, is that he needs 5 to 6 years to upload that huge database, because he needs also to add the new cars that emerge and after that 3 to 4 years to search the missing cars because surely he missed some cars, it's impossible not to miss them because of the large number of them.

Anyway , i admire all of you who do something like this.

This website is the all cars project. It always has been and always will be. Any other will merely pale in comparison and will always be forced to refer here for all the cars they missed.

Autopuzzles - The encyclopedia of rare automotive esoterica. No other site, no other book, no one else even comes close.

I have got a reply for my contact for question wich was:  "It's such a petty this car encyclopedia cannot be used as a encyclopedia is supposed to be... free for everyone to use.
"Nothing on this website can be used in any form without prior content of the actual owner" as you stated in the background.

"reply for your question send via contact for,

Thank you for your question.
Well, that is not and never had been my intention, i have never read that text, i guess that makes it my mistake.
I suppose that the web design company written that text over there, byecause they maybe supposed that it had to be written.
In my discussion i have told them only about CSS and the fact that some texts are written by me and others are press releases and i will write under it "From company press release".

I will contact them wright now, to modify the underground text for free use.
Thank your question and helping me to correct this shamefull error."

ps: he typed an "," instead of "m", i saw that kind of mistake in the website few times, he needs to slow down...

Why don't you just tell the guy to join us here?  It is obvious he would fit in and I'm sure he is gonna end up here anyway eventually.  I sent a congratulatory email to the website contact page and invited them here as well.

Thanks for the info.

Hello jhonny.drift, helo Ultra ( i guess you e-mailed me as admin), hello everyone.
Nice to meet you on this beautifull website, i love that puzzele, but sadly my time is limited so i will not partcipate.
I want to congratulate you all for this beautifull comunity. This is one of the few places where i can find cars that i didn't know about and that is more than appealing.
I will post stories of some interesting cars i have found, when i have some spare time, please just provide me a link here where i can do that.

1977 Volvo 363CS
This is a sport compact car, built with the intention to compete with top european sport compacts like the Golf GTI but never reached series production because of bigger costs then expected. Only 11 copies had been built by Volvo R Sport, using a 2.6 liter, V6 engine developing 135 PS. The power was transmitted through a 5 speed manual transmission. Today this cars are very appreciated by collectors.

Thank you for your warm welcome.
I will post there.

You can bet i will spent my time over there, i already did, few times before, i feel like a kid in a candy store over there.

If anyone knows additional information for this australian Arcapadine Mystere.
I only know it's from 1978.
It seems to me like it's built on another car, but i can't tell for sure without a front photo. Are there any other models built by this brand?

I just wrote to the guy and invited him to join us here.  I also offered my help with proofreading and any other assistance I might be able to provide.

We'll see how he feels about those suggestions.  Interesting.  I see that he signed up as I was writing to him.  "Crossed in the email" so to speak.

ps: Feel free to use any phot or information found on www.all-car-brands.com, but please specify the link to the page where you took it from.
Don't be scared by the underground text, the last row is there by mistake and will be changed probably on monday, when the web designer is back to the office.
The only thing wich will not permitted is to copy the whole content on another website or the whole content of a brand on another website. I just do not want that anyone else to say "he made it and is his copyright".

Well, maybe if I help him out he can come help me with my race car.  'Course the commute might be a little problematic.   ::)

This was just a body kit for a Holden Torana, probably the LX. I've seen a lot of stories and articles about this car over the years, it had something to do with Recaro.

I found that Arcadipane was (and maybe still is) a supplier of fiberglass add-on body components, located in West Heidelberg, Victoria, Australia.

As my sons and daughters-in-law might say, "how very 70s!"
