That looks like a Chrysler or Plymouth

It looks a lot like a Leyland P 76 to me...

To the best of my knowledge, it was not related to the Leyland P76. This car was electrically powered, and had some unusual materials and features.

Is that a GM X body ?

Designed by a European.

Was Franco Sbarro involved ?  It almost looks like there's some AMC Matador influence to the car...don't laugh...  a prototype 4 door Matador coupe was built...

No Sbarro or AMC participation in this car's build.

I think language is again a barrier in arriving at the model designation. This car was promoted as the Exemplar 2. It was designed by Count Mario Revelli di Beaumont, who also designed more pedestrian FIAT and Simca automobiles.

Well done - another week or so, and you'll have the entire backlog of puzzles solved!   :)

I wouldn't have guessed tht this car was as old as it was...I would have placed it as a late'70's-early '80's model.  Those bumpers look like 5mph jobs to me, and the sillhouette looks like a late '70's GM car, or maybe even a Citroen Cx.  However, since it was built in 1967 or so, it can't be.  What was the deal with the accordian roof?

It functioned to make the car a camper, like a VW Westfalia van (sp?).

exemplar no.2 by count mario revelli di beaumont  :P

edit: 10 minutes earlier and it would have been my  "expert" point  :-\ ;D

Allemano

Believe me I've searched 'Exemplar' before. Maybe the engine fails sometimes?

Sorry Joe!  :'(

Otto Puzzell

No worries - I'll merge the threads tomorrow.  :)

And I'm sure Graber will get that next point soon!

Maybe the engine fails sometimes?

Yes, I think it does. Arunas has done a lot of reposts lately, and claims that he's searched before posting - and in recent times I've experienced the search engine to fail to find keywords I know are in there somewhere. So something is obviously wrong - which is a very bad thing when you try to find out if a car has been subject to a puzzle before...
