gtr22 is a Sbarro Filippinetti I Coupe, 1965 which is a repost
gtr14 is the Kango from South Africa which is not a repost
Perfect! 2 points!

gtr12 is Electraph 225, a French electric car made during WW2, apparently not a repost
Very good 1 point!

Great Idea, Paul
I'm glad you like it!

gtr7 looks like a Tzen, repost

Ehhxekt

Gtr8: Barrett Steam Car
Gtr11: Fiat 1100 by Paul Farago
Gtr20: Phoenix (made in Poland, on VW chassis)

None of them appear to be a repost. There is a VW-based car named Phoenix in the database, but it is a camper – very different from this nice coupé...

All correct!
The Farago was quite obscure, well done!

Time for some clues:
There is only one repost left and only one car with a strong connection with a previous puzzle (2, if you consider #5). All the others are new.

Gtr7 is the 1976 Chasseing, a French version of the German Fibrefab Bonito (which also spawned many British variants; Excalibur, etc.), and is not a repost.
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Paul Jaray

Correct, Porsche-Powered, VW-based.

Paul Jaray

Clue time:
#1 - European
#3 - few sports used that base
#4 - not European
#5 - I know it's not easy, but forget the front and look at the side...
#6 - this one can't be a problem for you
#16 - European
#19 - European
#23 - I'm sure you are not looking good at this

Otto Puzzell

5 may have started as a Cadillac.  ???
You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

Paul Jaray

Very good!
That is indeed a Cadillac.
A particular feature of the car is that the front hood can rolls forward on rails...sounds familiar?
#5 locked for Otto till his next reply.

Otto Puzzell

A rework of the Cadillac in the Spohn article?
You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

Paul Jaray

When I first saw the car I was sure it was by Spohn, but when I read that it was a Cadillac-based custom and that the hood could slide on rails I took a better look...at the side of the car...and I remembered...
(still locked for Otto)

Paul Jaray

I think I just made an extraordinary find...

Otto Puzzell

Somebody else is welcome to give this one a try.

#16 - There are some clues in the pic...
#19 - Europe
#23 - You will find it...

Paul Jaray

#1- It is what it seems.
#3- Not powered by an American engine
#4- Follow the Kango...
#5- Cadillac engine, sliding hood...
#6- Magazine Cover Car ....
#16- You are not paing attention to the details...
#19- This one can't be too hard for you.

As I am not able to identify any of the other (so far) unknown vehicles I´ll reveil car gtr-16 now:

it is the Heylandt Höllenhund (Hell hound), a pioneer rocket car that debuted in April 1931 and has not been shown here before.

The Heylandt Raketenauto was presented at Berlin´s Tempelhof airport by Dr.Paulus Heylandt.

if you spot a new one: 1 point
if you spot a new one that is barely a repost and you know why: 2 points
if you spot a new one that is barely a repost but you do not notice that: 1 point

Is it your final answer?
