Automotive Engineering Laboratory of Helsinki Polytechnic Stadia ??? Is it 1997 Hybrid-Ibana ?

Yes, the people at Helsinki Polytechnic are responsible for this car. Am I being too harsh now to ask for the name of the car?

Arunas

If it is not Hybrid-Ibana then maybe Hydro CVT

Afraid not...

Paul Jaray

Is this Helsinki Polytechnic's project featured somewhere on the web?

Quiller

I didn't find it on the web. It was actually in a calendar ...

Paul Jaray

Is there a way to find this name without the calendar?
I mean, is it a name we can try to find guessing (Microcar\Minicar\Citycar\UrbanCar\UrbanVehicle\CommuterCar...) or we need your source for it?

Quiller

I've never seen this photo anywhere but the calendar. It does have a specific name, which is shared (albeit with a small spelling change) with a Japanese car ...

pnegyesi

If I listen to your clues, then I believe this one is called the Carola made between 2000-2002

We have a winner!  :applause: :applause: :applause:

Since this is my longest-standing unsolved puzzle, I'm being generous. Arunas gets one point for identifying the maker and pnegyesi gets two points for revealing the correct model name. I'm very impressed you found it!
For the record, the Carola 'Easydrive' appeared in a calendar produced by the Helsinki institute in 2006 (April) and the car itself dates from 2001. Spot on!

pnegyesi

There's a Finnish-language page which lists all projects by this institute. And you mentioned a Japanese car...
Thanks for the two points :)!
