1931 Type P?

Chassis and body came from the DKW V800 / V1000 4=8

The engine was derived from the Peugeot 201

Yes, you are absolutely right. This car was an attempt to react to the economically hard times when Audi only had upper-market cars for offer. One sole survivor was discovered quite recently and carefully restored by Audi.
