Is it boxing day today? Another box design car.

For one point, please respond and identify this car.

Is this one of those little French cars that can be driven on a motorcycle licence like a Ligier?

Yes, it is one of those "VSP (voiturettes sans permis)".

Gateau Vison. Built by Automobiles Gateau !  ;D The factory was based firstly in St Gilles Croix de Vie, then Machecoul. Launched in 1987, built til 1991 in this form, with a front 325 cc Lombardini diesel, or for those who had a motorcycle licence, the mighty Perkins 3-cylinder, 617 cc  ;)

I agree ! In its day, it was a quite nice looking voiturette. Like many rivals, it was designed by a professional : Yves Dubernard, who has worked for Heuliez, and made others microcars as 'extra' job.  ;)
