Who knows this car?

Arunas

Nice puzzle!

even if the coulour is really ugly

grobmotorix

Yes - at that time many small cars like Seat Marbella, Opel Corsa etc. drove around in those weird colours over here in Germany.

Something to do with Heuliez?

To my best knowledge - no...

The signs in the background are not related to the car in any way...

The country we are looking for is quite green like the car, but grey and white in many other big parts of its territory.

Switzerland!

A prototype of a production car or a custom-made car?

grobmotorix

I´ve found it with a detailed description in an early 1990´s car catalogue, where this has been featured on a whole page.

I´ve never heard of it before and after and there´s simply nothing to be found about it in the internet.

So I´m quite sure it has not been built in bigger numbers  ;D

The name of the car has been clearly visible at the front end before I´ve photoshopped it.

Interestingly enough the car catalogue where I´ve found it has changed one letter in the name.

This will definitly be a hard nut because even with intensere search I have not been able to find out more facts about it.

I´ll give it one more week before descending to the black hole.

grobmotorix

Off it goes...

BTW:

What about the suggestion I´ve seen somewhere that all the puzzles should be solved in the end?

I think I´ll give some more hints:

SWISS, begins with a "K"

Although they are involved in electric invalid cars could this be an attempt to break into the road car market?
Kyburz?

grobmotorix

It is not that company.

But just phonetically you´ve almost got it!

Its name is just four letters, which sound very, very much like your suggested Kybu(rz)...

grobmotorix

Almost there! Change the last letter and your way to the point is visible.

LOCKED for you.

grobmotorix

That´s it!

I´m not sure if this is really enough for a point...

Now, can you tell me the technical basis?

Still locked for you.

woodinsight

I haven't been able to find it in catalogues of the early 1990s and will just have to hazard a guess.
Perhaps Opel based ?
