Gee, that Ascona convertible was popular.

"American Sunroof Corporation" made a prototyp for Opel. One could consider that a brand as well.
"Tropic" from Crailsheim made 2 prototypes, before going bankrupt.
"Hy-Tech", a company started by the same founder as Tropic made at least one other prototyp and maybe a handfull of actual production cars.
Jankel also made a convertible, for Vauxhall.
Envemo apparently made some 10 convertibles in Uruguay
Sulam of Brazil did the same apparently.

By the way, was the Opel Monza mentioned?

The opel monza uses a different tail lamp.

As to the ascona / cavalier convertibles I am going to discount them as they are a variant of the saloon which already has points awarded for it.

Otherwise I could post a mini tail lamp and give a point for the austin, morris, radford etc as they are all slightly different cars.

The others I will sort points for once I get proof of the Birchall so I can close this one off.

OK, I am closing this one off for now...

Points have been awarded for all cars with proof attached (excluding the 20 names convertible!).

The only one I am waiting for proof on is the McCoy but having spoken with Djetset today he is going to find the proof later on - when he finds it I will add additional points as required.

Since this evening I know the Hugenholtz Delfino also had these lights. Proof will be found later on in the Hugenholtz Delfino topic.

Another use of GM Ascona C/Vectra tail lights: the Sbarro Super Eight, a larger brother to the Super Five already mentioned.

Point awarded - I'm surprised nobody came up with that one before seeing as how many kit car people we have on here....

Another point for DeAutogids - that is the ugliest car yet found sporting those lights....

Not sure though

No, the Cirrus Gold definitely used Opel Senator/Monza rear lights, not Ascona C.

Found this one by chance: an Opel Kadett E, modified by "RS9 design". Nice one, isn't it?
