This puzzle replaces my NEH 1332, which was a re-post of the Hawker Special V8.
What is this car, who built it and when?  For 1 point.

It's been pointed out to me where to find the original puzzle of the Hawker Special (which is EXACTLY what I was searching for and it didn't show up despite me doing the search at least half a dozen times because I knew I'd seen it!)

So I've changed the picture and the puzzle number.

This thing is the original 1948 show car for the Alvis TB 14 Sports Tourer, exhibited at Earls Court. The body was by AP Metalcraft.
