Author: Mike McCarthy, Technical Editor of Wheels magazine
A Wheels and Sports Cars World Publication
Published by Wildcat Press, Sydney, Australia, 1987
ISBN 0 908463 15 4
132 pages, hardbound, b&w and color photos

As its title suggests this slim but rather nice book lists a lot of Australian road-going sportscars from Ascort to Zeta. Also a few racings cars are included.
From the introduction:
"This book gives an insight to the reasons why Australia's sports cars and specialis are, well, something special...
Finding and meeting original builders, whether in person or on the phone, counted among the most interesting and satisfying aspects of the research. They didn't talk about time wasted or money lost; didn't talk success or failure; didn't talk about might-have-been or if-only; jus ttalked cars"

Therefore a lot of contemporary photos are joined by pictures on surviving cars. If you love quirky specials, this one is for you.

I received my copy today, a couple more are available at a reasonable price.
The shipping costs are quite high though.

A nice book indeed, I only would have loved to see more pics of the obscure ones...but if they are obscure there can't be many!

Pictures back in place.
Here you are more pics plus the index:
