Identify this car and from when it dates for 1 point:

Google Search by Image continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Search by Image as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

Have fun!

The wheels look like 36/37 Ford wide-5 pattern.  Is this car USA-based?

I think this car is a Nordic Special racing car built in Sweden or Norway after the war for a Nordic racing series. Based on prewar Ford V8 frames and driving gear.
This car was built in 1949 and named GB2 after the owner/driver Gunnar Bratlie

Yes, that's the car!
I had it as being made by Eirik Bole (with a slash through the 'o'!) but I'm not sure if that's right or if he was just one of the owners later; my Norwegian isn't too good!
Well done.

Here are some more pics:

Thanks,
Eirik Bøle (or Böle) is the current owner. He is a collecter and is also owner of the Stousland racer presented in a puzzle some time ago

Nordic Special

I think this puzzle is a repost

You are on the right track, but I have a different name. I couldn't find it within AP in a search for the builder's name.

olavr

I think this is the GB2 by Gunnar Bratlie, Norway

Wendax

Yes!

olavr

I solved this car before, search GB2 again and find the other puzzle. I don't deserve the point you gave me

Merged.

Carnut, could you reinstall your puzzle photo or shall we take mine?

I've installed the picture I added later, as I no longer have the original.
