Tailfins.

For one point, please respond and identify this car.

AlexFrance

Looks like a Simca Vedette Chambord.

Wendax

Yes, correct, but as this is AutoPuzzles, to grant a point I want to know more. This Vedette has been modified. Guess what has been done to the car, it's not the only Vedette that has received this treatment.

AlexFrance

Was it really modified per se, or is it one of the Vedettes that were manufactured in Brazil?

Wendax

It is a French Vedette that had a big, but hardly visible aftermarket modification.

AlexFrance

Si I guess it must have something to do with the engine, right?

What about a diesel engine in place of the fuel-unsavy V8?

Wendax

Yes, that's the modification done to this gas guzzler. Name the diesel engine's maker and the point is yours.
Locked for you.

AlexFrance

Wendax

No, still locked for one more try. Think local.

AlexFrance

Since Peugeot was among the first manufacturers to offer diesel cars in France, my answer is: Peugeot!

Wendax

Not a Peugeot engine, but very close as the engine in question is connected to the Peugeot Diesel.

AlexFrance

So it must be from Citroën since both companies used similar diesel engines.

No

Open for all rookies again.

Majeko

La société Indenor – acronyme de « société industrielle de l'Est et du Nord »

Wendax

Oui, monsieur! One more point for you, Majeko.

Bad luck, Alex.

Majeko

Merci, Wendax. Bad luck Alex, but you will be an expert soon. Plenty puzzles out there.
