nicanary

I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Nicanary is right that it´s a French make.

And it is also a two-name make, but not Secqueville-Hoyau...

When you say "two-name make, am I correct in assuming that it is two unrelated names, as is Secqueville-Hoyau or Panhard et Levassor, and not just the first and last name of an individual, as in Jacques Mullier, or a french article, as in Le Zebra?

Have there been any modifications made to the picture?

Otherwise this wouldn´t have been a puzzle:

Interesting that the car actually had the full name written on the grille. Georgano lists the make as simply "M.S.".

Is the name on the puzzle car Morain-Silvestre? Notice the difference with the script on the car bellow, where the "y" is very clear.

Carnut

It's a completely different script and I would say the writing is a bit too clear in relation to the rest of the picture..  It looks to me like it's been added later, though you might think the perpetrator would take the trouble to spell the name correctly....

Well, my photo is from 1920, so I guess it shows the correct name.

I worked with some filters to maximize the contrast, so here we can clearly read Morain Silvestre.

Thanks to eagle eye ftg3plus4 I will change the puzzle title now...

Yet on ropat53's picture it's spelt with a "y"? One is right and one is wrong!
