Unfortunately I can't, because I don't know anything but the abbreviation. I have seen the car twice in 1986 and 1988 when I took the puzzle photo. The three-letter emblem was located at the top of the radiator where usually the DKW sign sits. The owner couldn't or didn't want to say anything about the sign. I don't even know whether it is a homebuilt body or a coachbuilder's job.

Is the abbreviation identical to one of the 3-letter IATA codes used to identify airports ?

Wendax

Like the vast majority of three-letter combinations, yes.

Is the abbreviation identical to the IATA code of a European airport ?

Wendax

Nice try, it isn't. But anyhow, I want to know the mystery behind the three-letter combination, not just "It's a DKW by ABC".

pnegyesi

beside the 3 letter, do you know the location?

Wendax

No, there was just this three-letter-sign on the body.

Let's go the long way.
Is the second letter between M-Z?
