I reckon the Black Hole should only contain "unsolvable" puzzles (cars unknown by the poster himself and puzzles abandoned by inactive members). There are currently way too much puzzles in the hole.

I don't.
That would leave far too many old puzzles on the Pro's board.
The intention is to provide old puzzles with a place after they have spent a couple of years unsolved with the Pro's and it has always served its purpose well.  There's nothing to stop puzzlers solving puzzles which are there, as I'm pleased to see oko is doing - and getting 2 points for instead of just 1!
