Over on another well-known website devoted to motor sport, there's a thread about the quality of autographs obtained from leading drivers. Some are simply scribbles because the writer couldn't be bothered to take care and provide a bit of his own time, others are works of art. Jackie Stewart is known as dyslexic - he perfected a signature by practising endlessly, and it has remained constant over all these decades. He doesn't normally write, as he knows he can't always put down what he means to say, but his autograph is guaranteed.

Someone mentioned Johnny Rutherford, and I looked up his offering. Wow! I just have to share it, it's simply wonderful.

A driver not remembered much these days, but well-known in the paddock back in the 1960s. I recall he had a bit of a shady background, but he could certainly sign his name. Tony Settember.
