I think the colour orange is probably co-incidental, but yes, the base car is a Mclaren!

I won't be difficult and say there was no Mark IV  ;D, but I know what you mean. Yes, it's based on an M4.

1968 McLaren M4A, 200-27B, in 1980 it was converted to "CSR" specifications and fitted with an Alfa engine by a certain Jon Rhode

Yes, that's exactly what it is. Well found.

It was originally a Formula B car , but converted by Jon Rhodes into a sports-racer.
