Boy, you do come up with some really tough ones. I had to search the archives for this one . . . at first I thought it was a Jackson, but now I'm pretty sure it's a Hollier (which was actually related to the Jackson). The year is 1918.  Good puzzle - the search is often the best part of the solve.
