I have arrived at this page for a breath of Autopuzzles Oxygen after having witnessed the latest slanging match on the main forum. Once in a while, someone with grudge-bearing tendencies pops up and posts vitriol regarding a Puzzle. Simple courtesy evades the coward who lurks behind a keyboard,...but enough about me ;D.

The sad fact is that one or two of our fellow travellers seem to be driven by a worship of "points" neglecting respect owed to the puzzle poster. Such childish behaviour is upsetting to all of us, and achieves nothing besides revelation of the perpetrator's character.

Jokingly (?), I have suggested abandonning points altogether. Happily, there are sections on Autopuzzles where one can post a picture along with basic information, ask for further input from all and sundry,...and receive the most gracious and informative responses :hail: A comfortable place to be.

The the deployment of 'Search by Image' is rightly punishable by a lifetime ban. I propose a similar fate for the tiny minority of renegade puzzlers.

Thanks for reading, and peace to all.

Many thanks for your input FrontMan.
AutoPuzzles has always been a very friendly site, where we don't generally get any of the 'back-biting' you see on so many Internet forums.
Occasionally though, a bad apple does creep in.  As an Owner/Editor I make a point of reading every post here and whilst I tend to have an attitude of 'laissez-faire', not wanting to get involved in other people's puzzles other than to guess answers, occasionally a point has been reached where the offender has received a warning. 9 times out of 10 the warning has been heeded but in my dozen or so years here a small handful have been banned, a solution I never really like.
Recently I haven't seen anything serious enough for those measures, although a couple of times it has come close.
Any closer and something will be said and done!

Well said. No more petty tiffs gentlemen, please.

Remember the puzzles always remain the "intellectual property" of the puzzle-setter. He can ask whatever questions he wishes,  and if you don't like the answers, leave the puzzle alone and try another one.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Onwards and Upwards, gentlemen. Many Thanks for your vigilance :)
