I found a source on this car that refers to it as the "Sinus" and describes is as custom-built Ford Scorpio V6.

1985 Lehwald Sinus by Walter Lehwald. Based on a VW Beetle chassis, powered by a 2.9-liter Ford Scorpio V6.
